Code of Conduct

Welcome to Snowball, where fewer formal sessions and zero PowerPoint presentations allow us to prioritise what truly enriches a conference experience - engaging with remarkable individuals and exploring new perspectives. As part of this unique community, we expect every ‘Snowballer’ to adhere to some essential principles that ensure our event remains a cherished gathering for all.

Courtesy and Respect

Each Snowballer joins us by personal invitation, reflecting our commitment to assembling a group of exceptional individuals. We encourage you to extend the same respect and courtesy to your fellow attendees that you would wish for yourself, fostering an environment of mutual admiration and support.

Inclusivity and dignity

Snowball aims to be a celebration of diversity and camaraderie. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment, including unwelcome sexual advances or behaviour that undermines the dignity of others. Fun is in order but ‘overfunning’ is not. No behaviour should compromise the respect owed to every participant. Inconsiderate or offensive conduct may result in removal from the event and permanent exclusion.

professional boundaries

While Snowball thrives on the organic development of friendships and professional relationships, we discourage aggressive sales tactics and unsolicited offers. The event's ethos is about connection, not coercion. High-pressure selling, intrusive fundraising requests, and post-event spamming detract from the genuine interactions that define our community.

full engagement

To ensure a fully immersive experience, Snowball invites participants to join alone - without the distraction of any companions - wives, husbands, partners etc. (Unless they originally met at Snowball. Yes, it’s happened). This approach is designed to maintain focus on the event's activities and encourages deeper engagement with fellow Snowballers.

Honesty and integrity

Transparency and honesty form the cornerstone of all interactions at Snowball. We ask that you be forthright about your achievements and aspirations, allowing your genuine self to shine without the need for embellishment.

responsible celebration

Recognising the joys of socialising and the potential hazards of overindulgence, we urge Snowballers to consume alcohol or any other mind altering substances responsibly, especially if skiing activities are planned. Safety is paramount, both on the slopes and off.

privacy and discretion

In line with the Chatham House Rule, Snowball supports the open exchange of ideas while respecting the confidentiality of discussions. We ask that you refrain from sharing specific details or images on social media that could compromise the privacy or reputations of attendees or the event itself.

By embracing these principles, you contribute to making Snowball not just an event but a community where extraordinary people come together in an atmosphere of respect, innovation, and enjoyment. Let's ensure Snowball remains a beacon of positive, meaningful connections and experiences.
